Family Law, Estate Planning & Probate Attorney

Prepared cases settle better.

Ananya represents clients in divorce, child custody, child support, enforcement and modification proceedings, suits affecting the parent-child relationship, wills, estate planning and probate administration. She works with clients from the first evaluation through negotiation, mediation, litigation and final resolution.

She has represented clients in more than thirty mediations, and she is direct about what that experience taught her: most matters can be resolved without a trial, and the ones that resolve well are the ones that were prepared as though they would not. Preparation is what gives a client leverage, at the mediation table or in front of a judge.

Her practice is strengthened by an unusual international background — she is licensed in both Texas and India, and studied intellectual property law alongside family practice — and by a habit of explaining the process clearly enough that clients can make their own decisions during some of the most consequential moments of their lives.

Outside the office she cooks, tries new recipes and watches too much television, on the theory that good food, a good show and a little humour go a long way after a long day.
